Welcome

We are the Criswell-Robinson American Legion Post 71 in Cabot, AR.  Our goals are to support and serve veterans, service members, and the local communities.   Besides the Ladies Auxiliary and Legion Riders, we now have a Sons of the American Legion Squadron and Amateur Radio Club.

The 4th Thursday of each month is our Monthly Business Meeting at 7pm. It's open to all members.  The 1st Thursday is Game Night in which we alternate between BINGO and open games. 

The Sons of the American Legion meeting will be the 2nd Tuesday of each month.

  • Next meeting is 13 December at 6:00pm. 

  • Open to all male descendants of any age, adopted sons and stepsons of members of The American Legion, and such male descendants of veterans who died during or after  Service in one of the war eras.  Legionnaires may hold dual membership.

The Legion Riders meeting will be the 1st Tuesday of each month.

  • Next meeting is 6 December at 7:00pm at Post 71.  Open to all American Legion members from any Post.

The Honor Guard meeting will be the 3rd Monday of each month.

  • Next meeting is 21 November at 7:00pm at Post 71.  Open to all Post members who are interested in joining.

The Amateur Radio Club meeting is the 2nd Sunday each month.

  • Next meeting is 11 December at 1:30pm at Post 71.

We are looking for new members!  If you have served at least one day of active duty in the United States Armed Forces during any of the war eras listed here, then you are eligible.  National Guard and Reservists are also included who served on active duty (including basic training) during these same war eras.

News & Events

  • 17 Nov - Annual Holiday Meal 6:00pm at Cabot Church of Christ.  Free to Veterans and their families and On-duty First Responders.  **Post members bring potluck desserts. 
  • 3 & 17 Nov - PTSD Group Meeting 3:00pm every 1st & 3rd Thursday at Sam High's Office down the hall from Post 71.  Open to anyone with PTSD. 
  • 19 Nov - District 8 Meeting 2:00pm at Post 71. Open to all Post members.  The State is divided into 16 Districts with District 8 having 14 Posts assigned.  A Meal will be served and there will be a 50/50 drawing.  District 8 Commander is Jim Sanders from Post 71.

  • 21 Nov - Honor Guard Meeting at 7:00pm.  (Now only one meeting each month) Still looking for members to join.  Come to the meeting to find out what you can do.
  • 22 Nov - Executive Committee Meeting 7:00pm at the Post.
  • No Meeting in November due to Holiday Meal.
    15 Dec -
    Monthly Business Meeting 7:00pm at the Post with pre-meal $4 at 6:00pm.  Open to all members.  Spouses are invited to join the Auxiliary.

 


Our Post is in the Cabot Mini Mall, next to City Hall. 

Hours of the post are:

  • Mon - Fri about 9am to around 3pm
  • Saturday about 9am to around noon
  • Sundays closed, unless there is a special event
