Scouts At Cabot CSA Memorial Cemetary

The community of Cabot has as part of its history, the Confederate Cemetery located not far from downtown Cabot. During the Civil War, a contingent of both Texas and Arkansas soldiers that camped out near what is now the Camp Nelson Cemetery and Memorial.
There were thousands of soldiers at the camp and there were 1,500 deaths as a result of disease that ran through that camp.
The Cub Scout Troop 205 was at this Memorial in January 2012 to visit and to honor these fallen soldiers, regardless of the color of their uniform.
